Yea, eff this thing. I’m burning it down next time I need to take it apart.
The piece that actually hooks the doors closed in the latch keeps coming off the threaded rod that attaches it to the handle mechanism. No idea what parts of the lockset are called if I’m being honest. Anyways, it shouldn’t come apart anymore... Ever. Also already ordered a new door as this one is a bit rough a far as condition and the lock set doesn’t match any other one on my house. (Bright brass is not preferred by anyone outside of the 80s).

I need some of that. The screws on my kitchen cabinets back out every couple weeks. It’s bullshit given that the cabinets are only a couple years old

Loctite Red is the equivalent of sewing regular twins together and making them Siamese. There’s just no reason for it. Blue can be reused and can be broken with hand tools. Red needs heat in nearly all applications. It’s not for taking apart ever again. :)
